SARAH SOCH (México)
Es la fundadora y directora ejecutiva del Festival Internacional de Cine de Guanajuato, que se celebra cada año durante los últimos 10 días de julio, en las ciudades de San Miguel de Allende y Guanajuato en México.
Durante los últimos 16 años GIFF ha traído talentos emergentes junto con expertos de renombre mundial de la imagen en movimiento e invitados especiales que incluyen; Tim Burton , Peter Greenaway , Deepa Mehta, Kenneth Anger , Oliver Stone, Shyam Benegal , Gaspar Noé , Spike Lee , Spike Jonze , Alejandro González Iñárritu , Lucrecia Martel, Eliseo Subiela , Bong Joon- ho, Larry Clark , Paul Schrader, Park Chan -wook , Julie Taymor , Danny Boyle y Darren Aronofsky y todos han impartido clases magistrales de las sesiones públicas y privadas para cineastas.
En 2013 recibió GIFF 3398 películas de 111 países en la competencia, y este año acogió 121.354 usuarios totales del público que durante 10 días disfrutaron de casi 400 películas.
Sarah es también fundador de la Fundación Expresión en Corto AC, que fue creada para educar a la comunidad local, así como capacitar a una nueva generación de escritores mexicanos, cineastas y productores y es fundadora de la Comisión Estatal de Cine de Guanajuato, que dirigió desde su creación en 1997 hasta febrero de 2009.
El último proyecto de Sarah es La Fábrica GIFF: Centro para el Desarrollo y Producción Cinematográfica, un centro de producción y exhibición multidisciplina, polivalente y de formación audiovisual de varios millones de dólares que abarcará y acogerá todas las iniciativas educativas y de la industria del GIFF. El proyecto comenzará a construirse en 2014 y se espera que esté terminado en 2016.
Founder and executive director of the Guanajuato International Film Festival, which is held each year during the final 10 days of July, in the cities of San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato in Mexico.
During the past 16 years GIFF has brought emerging talents together with world-renowned experts of the cinematographic movement. Some special guests have included Tim Burton, Peter Greenaway, Deepa Mehta, Kenneth Anger, Oliver Stone, Shyam Benegal, Gaspar Noé, Spike Lee, Spike Jonze, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Lucrecia Martel, Eliseo Subiela, Bong Joon-ho, Larry Clark, Paul Schrader, Park Chan-wook, Julie Taymor, Danny Boyle and Darren Aronofsky, who have all imparted Master Classes for the public and private sessions for filmmakers.
In 2013 GIFF received 3,398 films from 111 countries in competition, and this year hosted 121,354 total audience members who during 10 days enjoyed nearly 400 films from 10am until 4am in 21 venues.
Sarah is also the founder of several other campaigns, one being the Expresión en Corto Foundation A.C., which was created to educate the local community as well as train a whole new generation of Mexican writers, filmmakers and producers. The second being the State of Guanajuato’s Film Commission, which she directed from its inception in 1997 until February of 2009.
Sarah’s latest project is La Fábrica GIFF: Center for Cinematographic Development and Production, a multidisciplinary, multiuse and multi-million-dollar audiovisual training, production and exhibition facility that will encompass and host all of GIFF’s educational and industry initiatives. The project will begin construction in 2014 and is expected to be completed by 2016.

Fue Vice Presidenta, Internacional de SINETEL, Compañía productora, también se ha desempeñado como Directora de compra y venta para mercados internacionales para MEDIAMAX / R FILM, Directora de Compra de Star Tv, STAR MEDYA GROUP entre otras.

As a producer, Inci is credited with several TV series: “Hayat Dedigin” for Channel 7, “Mahmut and Meryem” and “Osmanli Tokadi” for Turkish Radio and Television, and “Babam Icin” for Fox TV Turkey. She has also experience working as a feature film distributor in Turkey (primarily the acquisition of international films for distribution in cinemas and for television in Turkey) and as an advisor for Turkcell (Operations Leader for GSM in Turkey).
In TTNET, she was the Director of Purchases for TIVIBU, IPTV, Web, TV and Mobile platforms. She was responsible for the acquisition of content for the IPTV program and establishing in-house channels for it. She was Vice President for SINETEL International production company. She has also served as the Director of Purchases and Sales for international markets for MEDIAMAX / R FILM, Director of Purchases for Star Tv, STAR MEDYA GROUP among others.
JORGUE OLGUÍN (Chile)
Pionero del género fantástico y de terror en Chile, ha realizado las películas: “Ángel Negro”, “Sangre Eterna” y la co-producción chileno-brasileña “Caleuche, el Llamado del Mar” . Actualmente está desarrollando la producción del largometraje 3D “Gritos del Bosque”.
“Angel Negro” fue una película que Olguín filmó mientras estudiaba cine en la Universidad con un presupuesto de sólo 25 mil dólares. Este film logró estrenarse en las salas comerciales en el año 2000 con éxito de taquilla y se convirtió en todo un suceso mediático en Chile por su inusual campaña publicitaria.
En 2002 Olguín estrena “Sangre Eterna” (Eternal Blood) película de vampiros con una trama psicológica, que involucra el mundo de los movimientos góticos y los juegos de rol. Con un presupuesto de sólo 300 mil dólares, esta película estrena el uso de los efectos especiales y de maquillajes en la cinematografía chilena. La cinta, al igual que el debut de Olguín, se transformó en un éxito en la taquilla. Posteriormente obtuvo el Premio a los Mejores Efectos Especiales en el festival de Cine Fantástico de Málaga, y los premios a Mejor Actuación y Mejores Efectos de Maquillajes en el festival de Cine de Terror de Los Angeles “Screamfest LA” de las manos de Stan Winston. Sangre Eterna fue editada en DVD en los Estados Unidos por “Fangoria” bajo el título de Eternal Blood. Su tercer largometraje, “Descendents”, es un film apocalíptico protagonizado por niños y zombies, y fue comprada por la compañía norteamericana Ghosthouse Pictures propiedad del famoso director Sam Raimi. En el 2012 estrenó el largometraje de género fantástico “Caleuche, El llamado” del mar en cuya producción participan destacados actores chilenos como Catalina Saavedra (The Maid) y la actriz brasileña Giselle Itié (The Expendables). Distribuida por Buenavista (Disney) logró buenos resultados en taquilla. Olguín mientras estrenaba su cuarto largometraje, rodaba en el set de “Gritos del Bosque” el 1er largometraje chileno rodado en formato 3D protagonizado por Fernanda Urrejola y Carolina Arredondo este film de horror y suspenso anunció su fecha de estreno para fines de 2014.
A pioneer of fantasy and terror in Chile, Jorge Olguín has made the movies: “Ángel Negro”, “Sangre Eterna” and the Chilean-Brazilian co-production “Caleuche, el Llamado del Mar.” Currently he is working on the production of the 3D feature film “Gritos del Bosque”.
“Ángel Negro” (Black Angel) was a picture that Olguín filmed while he was attending school with a budget of only $25,000 dollars. This motion picture managed to be released in commercial theaters in the year 2000 with immediate box office success, but it also became a media event as a result of its unusual marketing campaign.
In 2002, Olguín premiered “Sangre Eterna” (Eternal Blood), a psychological thriller with vampires, involving the Gothic movements of the world and role-playing games. With a budget of only $300,000 dollars, this film opened the use of special effects and makeup in Chilean cinema. The feature, like Olguín’s previous debut, was a hit at the box office. As a result, he would win the award for Best Special Effects in the Málaga Festival of Fantastic Cinema; as well as for Best Performance and Best Makeup Effects at the Terror Film Festival during “Screamfest LA” in Los Angeles from the hands of Stan Winston himself. “Sangre Eterna” was released on DVD in the United States by “Fangoria”, under the title “Eternal Blood”. His third feature film, “Descendents”, is a post-apocaplyptic movie starring children and zombies. This feature was bought by the North American company Ghost House Pictures-which is owned by the famous director Sam Raimi. In 2012, he premiered the fantasy feature “Caleuche, El llamado del Mar”, whose production had the participation of featured Chilean actors like Catalina Saavedra (The Maid) and Brazilian actress Giselle Itié (The Expendables). Distributed by Buenavista (Disney), it achieved good results at the box office. In the meantime , Olguín was working on the debut of his fourth feature, filming on the set of “Gritos del Bosque” starring Fernanda Urrejola and Carolina Arredondo. This is the first Chilean film shot in 3D, and it was anncouned that this story of horror and suspense will be released in late 2014.

Es Empresario, Gestor y sostenedor de la galería Pencopolitana, lleva más de diez años ligado a la cultura regional, apoyando e impulsando importantes actividades y proyectos culturales del Bio Bio, actualmente es Vicepresidente de la Corporación Cultural Teatro Regional Del Bio Bio, Director de la Corporación Cultural Teatro Pencopolitano y desde el 2012 y hasta el 2016 es Consejero del Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes de la Región, ha sido Gerente de importantes empresas como Almacenes Parí S.A. Businessman, Manager and holder of the Pencopolitana Gallery, Rodrigo del Valle carries more than 10 years linked to regional culture, supporting and promoting important cultural activites and projects in the Bío Bío Region. Currently he is the Vice President of the Teatro Pencopolitano Cultural Corporation and Director of the Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes of the Region from 2012 until 2016. He has been the manager of major companies like Almacenes Parí S.A. Concepción, Comercial Casado S.A (Shopping Group). Since 2009 he has worked as a Real Estate Manager for Marina del Sol S.A.
ANDRÉS MARTÍNEZ (México)
Licenciado en Ciencias de la Comunicación en el Tec de Monterrey campus Ciudad de México, además, forma parte de la segunda generación del TALENT CAMPUS Guadalajara con el apoyo de la Berlinale Talent Campus. En 1999 filma su primer cortometraje en 35 mm “Reversión”, con el cual, logra ser galardonado como el mejor cortometraje de su generación, otros cortometraje que ha realizado son: “Bolita Por Favor” ganador de varios premios, “98.5 FM”, “Günterland” y “Visita Conyugal” cortometraje con el que se inauguró el Festival Internacional de Cine de Acapulco 2009. En la actualidad continúa dirigiendo tanto series de televisión, comerciales y video clips, en los que destacan campañas para SNIKERS, BARCEl, BIMBO, DINAMO, CHUPA CHUPS, CINEPOLIS, NOKIA, LEVIS, POLAROID, VARANA, LA GUSANACIEGA, etc.
Como productor tiene en su haber múltiples proyectos y video clips, de los que sobresalta el de “YOFO” de Molotov, nominado al Grammy Latino en la categoría de mejor video clip.
En el 2010 funda CHEMISTRY, compañía a la post producción, corrección de color, data managment y mastering digital, cuenta con más de 21 largometrajes postproduccidos, en los que destaca “Pastorela”, “Año Bisiesto”, “Potosí”, “González”, entre otros.
En el 2011, dirige la serie de televisión LOS BETAS, serie basada en el grupo de ayuda al migrante de la SECRETARIA DE GOBERNACION. Esta serie que se constituye de 13 capítulos que se filmaron en estados del norte y del sur de la República Mexicana.
En el 2013 Andrés se encuentra en el desarrollo de su opera prima “EL MARICHI DE VIVALDI” y la escritura de lo que será su segundo filme llamado “SEMANA NEGRA”. Una historia que se desarrolla bajo condiciones que ponen a prueba los esquemas preestablecidos de la sociedad, mostrando la soledad de nuestros días y cómo el ser humano es capaz de todo.
Andrés Martínez graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences at the Tec de Monterrey Mexico City Campus and became part of the second generation of the Guadalajara TALENT CAMPUS with the support of the Berlinale Talent Campus. In 1999, he filmed his first shortfilm in 35 mm called “Reversión,” in which he was awarded the prize for best short film of his generation. Other shortfilms he has made are: “Bolita Por Favor” winner of various prizes, “98.5 FM,” “Günterland,” and “Visita Conyugal” which opened the Acapulco International Film Festival in 2009. Today, he continues directing television series, comercials and video clips, with notable campaigns being SNICKERS, BARCEI, BIMBO, DINAMO, CHUPA CHIPS, CINEPOLIS, NOKIA, LEVIS, POLAROID, VARANA, LA GUSANACIEGA, etc.
As a producer, he is credited with multiple projects and videoclips, but the “YOFO” clip for Molotov stands out for its Latino Grammy nomination in the Best Video Clip Category.
In 2010 he founded CHEMISTRY, a post production, color correction, data management and digital mastering company, post producing 21 films. “Pastorela,” “Año Bisiesto,” “Potosí,” “González,” are a few examples.
In 2011, he directed a television series called “Los Betas,” a story based on the migrant support group Secretaria de Gobernación. The program is made up of 13 episodes that were filmed in the Northern and Southern states of the Mexican Republic.
In 2013, Andrés finds himself in the development of his debut film “El Marichi de Vivaldi” and the writing for what will be his second, “Semana Negra.” This story develops under the the conditions that test the preset patterns of society, by showing the loneliness of our day and how human beings are capable of anything.
DANIEL DÁVILA (Chile)
Daniel Dávila nace en San José, Costa Rica en 1973. Se titula en 1996 como Diseñador en la Universidad Católica de Chile, para luego dedicarse al diseño multimedia. Desde 1997 hasta 1999 se desempeña como animador y post-productor en la oficina RIO, responsable de la imagen corporativa de TVN (Televisión Nacional de Chile).
Entre 2000 y 2002 se instala en México DF, donde se incorpora al Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica como post-productor y encargado operativo de los sistemas de efectos visuales e impresión 35 mm. Al volver a Santiago, se reincorpora a RIO, donde desarrolla una serie de campañas publicitarias y piezas audiovisuales complejas, como el instructivo de seguridad de LAN.
El 2005 entra al departamento de post-producción de Chilefilms como artista de efectos visuales en sistema Inferno, profundizando el conocimiento de los procesos digitales cinematográficos.
El 2008 funda, junto a Enrique Stindt, Kiné-Imágenes, empresa que otorga servicios creativos y profesionales para proyectos vinculados al cine digital. A partir de entonces, Kiné-Imágenes se ha consolidado como una de las principales casas de post-producción de Chile especializada en proyectos cinematográficos.
Daniel Dávila was born in San José, Costa Rica in 1973. He graduated from the Universidad Católica of Chile after studying to be a Designer in 1996, however he later on decided to dedicate himself to Multimedia Design. From 1997 until 1999, he worked as an animator and post-producer in the RIO office, which is responsible for the corporate image of TVN (Chilean National Television).
Between 2000 and 2002 he moved and settled in Mexico City, joining the Film Training Centre as a post-producer and operations manager for special effects and impressions in 35 mm. Upon returning to Santiago, he rejoined RIO, where he developed a series of advertising campaigns and complex audiovisual works, such as LAN’s instructional security advertisements.
He entered the Post Production Department of Chilefilms in 2005 as a visual effects artist in Inferno Systems, further deepening his knowledge of digital film processes.
Together with Enrique Stindt, he founded Kiné-Imágenes in 2008. Kiné-Imágenes provides creative and professional services for projects related to digital film. Ever since, it has become one of the leading post-production houses in Chile specializing in cinematographic projects.

Sevda has also worked in advertising, doing ads for: Dizayn Grup, ufo, Masco, Lider kent and several television series like: “Inter star-sabah kuşaği” (The Morning Slot), channel 6 “Stüdyoda buluşalim” (A Meeting in the Study), “Tgrt-milletin meclisi” ( People’s Parliament).
RAMÓN SAMADA SUÁREZ (Cuba)
Ingeniero. Vicepresidente del Instituto Cubano del Arte e Industria Cinematográficos (ICAIC). Especialista en diseño de políticas culturales y en gestión cultural comunitaria. Coordina la Junta Directiva del Festival Internacional de Cine Pobre, Gibara. Director General de Audiovisuales ICAIC, productora de cine cubano.
Engineer. Vice President of the Cuban Institute of Art and Cinematographic Industry (Instituto Cubano del Arte e Industria Cinematográficos-ICAIC). He specializes in the design of cultural policy and in community cultural management. Ramón coordinates the Board of the International Cine Pobre (Low Budget) Film Festival in Gibara. He is the General Audiovisuals Director for ICAIC, as well as a producer of Cuban cinema.
JOSÉ (PEPE) MURIENTE
Comunicador audiovisual IACC, en el año 1994 trabaja en Buenos Aires, Argentina para Profilms (chilefilms) en donde le corresponde ejercer como montagista de video clip tales como Zoom (soda Stereo), Mariposa Technicolor (Fito Páez), Mate (todo tus muertos), Nada es para siempre (Fabi Cantilo), Patinador sagrado (Babasónicos), además, editor offline de la película “Cortázar” sobre la vida del escritor Julio Cortázar. De vuelta en chile realiza el montaje de la serie “Viaje al centro de la música” que se exhibe por canal 13 cable y que es seleccionada como mejor programa documental internacional para los premios EMMY.
Entre el año 2000 y 2005 participa como monitor en los talleres del CNTV para los ganadores de los fondos regionales. En la actualidad se desempeña como asesor externo de Workflow de trabajos HD y su integración con Avid. En el plano académico desde 1996 es instructor certificado nivel profesional para los sistemas de edición Avid Media Composer. Es director del área de Comunicación de la Sede San Joaquín del Instituto Profesional Santo Tomás.
Audiovisual Communicator graduated from the IACC, presently UNIACC. In 1994 José was working in Buenos Aires, Argentina for Profilms (Chilefilms) where he created several known video clips. A few examples are: Zoom (Soda Stereo), Mariposa Technicolor (Fito Páez), Mate (Todo tus muertos), Nada es para siempre (Fabi Cantilo) and Patinador sagrado (Babasónicos). Additionally, he was an offline editor of the movie “Cortázar,” a film about the life of Argentine author Julio Cortázar. While back in Chile José arranged the series “Viaje al centro de la música” (Journey to the Center of Music), which was shown on Cable Channel 13 and was selected as Best International Documentary Series by the Emmy Awards.
Between 2000 and 2005, he participated as a monitor in CNTV’s workshops for winners of regional funds. Currently he serves as an outside consultant for Workflow for projects in HD and their integration with Avid. José has served in the academic field since 1996 and is a professional certified instructor in systems with Avid Media Composer. He is the Director of the Communications Area in the Instituto Profesional Santo Tomás, San Joaquín campus.

Ha trabajado como docente hasta la actualidad de la cátedra de Sonido, algunas de las universidades en las que se ha desempeñado son: Escuela de Cine Universidad Arcis, Universidad de Antofagasta, Universidad de Valparaíso, Escuela de Cine de Chile.

He worked as a sound man for the documentaries: “La Batalla de Chile” by Patricio Guzmán, “A la Sombra del Sol” by Pablo Perelman and Silvio Caiozzi, “Atelier des enfants ” from the Centro George Ponpidou in France. He was the general producer and sound man for the documentaries: “Los jaivas”, “Susy” by Gonzalo Justiniano, “Jhonny cien pesos” by Gustavo Graef as well as for several feature films from director Jorge Olguín: “Ángel Negro” and “Sangre Eterna”. He has teamed up with director Cristián Sánchez for “Tiempos malos”, “El cautiverio Feliz”, as well as others. More recently though, collaborating with directors Matías Cruz for “Miguel San Miguel”, Fernando Lavanderos for “Las cosas como son”, and Rodrigo Sepúlveda for “Aurora”. Some of his work for TV was for “Tierra Adentro” from TVN, which received the Jorge Muller Prize from the Chilean Audiovisual Platform.
José continues working as a teacher, having been the chair of the sound department. Some of the universities where he has served are: Escuela de Cine in the Universidad Arcis, Universidad de Antofagasta, Universidad de Valparaíso, Escuela de Cine de Chile (School of Film of Chile).

CAROLA LEIVA (Chile)
Coordinadora General de KINDER CINE, proyecto de formación de audiencias cinematográficas que trabaja con prescolares de la región de Valparaíso, realiza además desde hace tres años el análisis de estadísticas de Cine del Proyecto Oferta y Consumo de Cine en Chile de la Consultora 8A , es a su vez encargada de invitados de FICVIÑA. Ha sido evaluadora y jurado en distintos concursos nacionales e internacionales y profesora de materias de industria audiovisual en diversas universidades. Fue secretaria ejecutiva del Fondo de Fomento Audiovisual.
General Coodinator for KINDER CINE, a film training project that works with preschool children in the Valparaíso region. For the last 3 years, Carolina has analyzed statistics from the Cine del Proyecto Oferta y Consumo de Cine en Chile from the Consultant 8A, and is in turn responsible for guests to the FICVIÑA. She has been an evaluator and judge in distinct national and international competitions and a teacher of various topics pertaining to the audiovisual industry in different universities. She was the Executive Secretary of the Fondo del Fomento Audiovisual.

TOMAS WELLS (Chile)
El animador, guionista, artista plástico y docente chileno Tomás Welss, es uno de los especialistas en el género, apreciado, tanto en Chile como en el exterior. Su particular filmografía animada ofrece una visión crítica de la naturaleza humana, con humor negro y un original uso del color y gestualidad. Ha recibido premios nacionales e internacionales y se le han dedicado ciclos monográficos, retrospectivas a su filmografía animada y exposiciones a su obra gráfica, en festivales de cine y certámenes, de fama mundial. Entre ellos: Huesca, Toulouse, Monterrey, Córdoba, Trieste, Oslo, Alexandria, Ginebra, Bogotá, Cartagena, La Habana, Rio de Janeiro, Viña del Mar, Guadalajara, Quito, etc.
Para mencionar algunos premios: El año 2004, recibe el premio: Ciudad de Huesca, del Festival de cine de Huesca, junto a un libro antológico: Tomas Welss, un artista provocador. Este premio se ha otorgado a reconocidos cineastas, en formato de largos y cortos. Entre ellos: Carlos Saura, Fernando Trueba, Arturo Ripstein, Pavel Koutsky ( animador ), Antonia San Juan, Imanol Uribe, José María Escriche, Gerrit van Dijk ( animador ), Montxo Armendáriz, etc..
El 2007, recibe el galardón Pedro Sienna, por su film animado Pasta, otorgado por el Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes de Chile, al Mejor Cortometraje y Mediometraje de Ficción y Animación de ese año. En la década del 2000, recibe tres premios India Catalina de Oro, a diversas obras de su autoría, en el Festival de cine de Cartagena, Colombia.
Estudio en la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Chile, donde obtuvo el título de Diseñador. Gracias a una beca otorgada en 1988, por el gobierno alemán, se especializa en cine de animación, en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Stuttgart, donde estudia con el profesor Heinz Edelmann, director de arte de la célebre película animada; El submarino amarillo, de los Beatles. De esta época datan sus primeros cortometrajes animados; El paraguas, Tango Mortal, La Caída y El Circo. Regresa a Chile, donde prosigue con su labor fílmica y gráfica, con títulos, como ; Reunión, Noche, Manos Libres, Pasta, Verde que te Quiero, etc…,hasta la actualidad.
Se desempeña, además, como profesor de su especialidad en diversas universidades Chilenas. Ha dictado charlas y talleres en: Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, España, Argentina, Noruega, Alemania, Egipto, México y Cuba, entre otros.
Se ha desempeñado, como jurado, en los Festivales de cine más relevantes del continente latinoamericano.

An animator, writer, plastic artist, and teacher- Tomás Welss, is one of the most appreciated specialists in the genre both within Chile and abroad. His animated films offer a critical view of human nature with black humor, combined with an original use of color and gestures. As a result he has received national and international prizes. Film festivals and competitions worldwide have dedicated monographic cycles, done retrospectives based on his animated filmography, and created expositions about his graphic work. With events taking place in: Huesca, Toulouse, Monterrey, Córdoba, Trieste, Oslo, Alexandria, Geneva, Bógota, Cartagena, La Habana, Rio de Janeiro, Viña del Mar, Guadalajara, Quito, etc.
Some of his prizes are the following: In 2004, he received The Ciudad de Huesca, from the Festival de Cine Huesca (Huesca Film Festival) along with an anthology: Tomas Welss, un artista provocador. This prize has been given to renowned filmmakers, in long and short formats. Between 2000 and 2009, he won three India Catalina de Oro prizes for diverse projects of his authoring in the Festival de Cine de Cartagena, Colombia (Cartagena Film Festival).
Tomás studied in the Art Department at the Universidad de Chile, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree as a Designer. Thanks to a grant he received through the German government in 1988, he specialized in animated film at the Academia de Bellas Artes in Stuttgart. It was here, that he studied with professor Heinz Edelmann, director of the famous animated film, The Yellow Submarine. It was in this period that Tomás dates his first animated features: El paraguas, Tango Mortal, La Caída y El Circo. He returned to Chile shortly after, where he continued his film and graphic work, producing titles such as: Reunión, Noche, Manos Libres, Pasta, Verde que te Quiero, etc. until today.
Tomás has served as a professor of animated designs in many Chilean universities. He has also given lectures and workshops in: Colombia, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Spain, Argentina, Norway, Germany, Egypt, Mexico, Cuba, and others.
Throughout Latin America, he has participated as a judge in the most important film festivals of the continent.

NICOLÁS LORCA (Chile)
Director y Post Productor en Introfilms Producciones. Estudia periodismo (2003) e ingresa a la Escuela de Cine de Chile, dirige y desarrolla diversos proyectos en el área de la postproducción, especializándose en el montaje y la creación de animaciones, motion graphics y composición 2D (VFX).
Ha realizado trabajos de dirección y montaje para diferentes medios y productoras (Canal 13, ViaX, Parox, Crea Comunicaciones etc) en Sobras Producciones los años 2005 – 2006 realizó Post producción y montaje de proyectos. También ha realizado Dirección de diversos cortometrajes (“La Comiquería: el documental”, “10 en Juego”, “Ensayo General”, etc.), todos clasificados a festivales de cine (FIC de Viña del Mar, FIDOCS, etc.). El 2011 estrena, en el Cine Arte Alameda, el largometraje “La Comiquería”, posteriormente, la película fue adquirida por VTR y Bazuca para su arriendo en el territorio nacional. Fue Primer director chileno invitado a la San Diego Comic Con International (USA), el evento de cine, comic y videojuegos más grande del mundo (donde se programó su largometraje “La comiquería”).
Director and Producer for Introfilms Productions. He studied journalism, and in 2003 decided to enter the Escuela de Cine de Chile. There, he developed and directed various projects in the areas of post-production, specializing in the editting and creation of animated characters, motion graphics, and 2D compositions (VFX).
He has done several directing and editting jobs for different media sources (Canal 13, ViaX, Parox, Crea Comunicaciones, etc). Between 2005 and 2006 he post-produced and editted projects for Sobras Productions. He has also directed various short films (“La Comiquería: el documental”, “10 en Juego”, “Ensayo General”, etc), and each have qualified for film festivals (FIC Viña del Mar, FIDOCS, etc). In 2011, he screened his feature film “La Comiquería” in the Cine Arte Alameda, which was obtained by VTR and Bazuca for distribution in national territories. Nicolás was the first Chilean director invited to the San Diego International Comic Con (USA), the largest event in the world for films, comics, and videogames (where his film “La Comiquería was shown).
ALEJANDRO ROJAS (Chile)
Alejandro Rojas Téllez, Licenciado en Artes de la Universidad Católica de Chile, creador y director de la Carrera de Animación Digital de da Universidad Mayor. Ha dedicado su Carrera Profesional al desarrollo artístico y productivo de la animación en Chile. Director Ejecutivo de Cineanimadores, empresa líder en Animación en Chile durante 20 años. Ha realizado tres largometrajes de animación, para el mercado nacional e internacional, ha realizado spots publicitarios de animación para Chile, Argentina y Ecuador. Ha realizado series de televisión para productores en Chile, Europa y Estados Unidos.(Disney TV, Cromosoma, Cinegroup, entre otros) ganador de nueve premios nacionales e internacionales como director: Altazor, Apes, Circulo de Críticos de Arte, Festival Internacional de Cine Infantil de Santiago y cinco premios internacionales: Argentina, México-Jalisco y Guadalajara y Colombia.

He has done TV series for producers in Chile, Europe and the United States (Disney TV, Cromosoma, Cinegroup, among others) and has won nine national and international prizes as a director: Altazor, Apes, Círculo de Críticos de Arte and the Festival Internacional de Cine Infantil de Santiago. His five international prizes come from: Argentina, Jalisco and Guadalajara in Mexico and Colmbia.

ALIN TASCIYAN (Turquía)
Licenciada en la Universidad de Estambul con BA en periodismo y Relaciones Públicas. Ella actualmente es consultora para Golden Boll Film Festival de Adana y coordinadora de Bazaar Adana. Desde el año 1991comienza a trabajar por la revista del Arte Milliyet y el periódico Milliyet. Por 16 años Taşçıyan ha sido corresponsal, crítica de cine y editora en la Revista del Arte. Mientras tanto ella hizo varios programas de cine por el canal de la radio y televisión Turcas TRT2 y la televisión en los que proyectó más o menos 500 películas en 10 años. Entre 2007 y 2012, hizo programas de Cinta del Cine Temático y los presentó por el canal de Noticias 24. Desde 2008 está trabajando como crítica y columnista para el periódico Star. Es miembro de la Academia del Cine Europeo y es actualmente Vicepresidente de FIPRESCI.
Alin Tasciyan was born in 1969 in Istanbul. She graduated from the University of Istanbul with a BA in Journalism and Public Relations in 1991. She began working for the Milliyet Art Review and Milliyet Daily Newspaper the same year. During the 16-year period, she has been a correspondent, film critic and editor of the Art Review. Meanwhile she made various cinema programs for channel TRT 2 of Turkish Radio and Television, including one known as the Magic of Cinema, which screened almost 500 classic films for 10 years. Between 2007 and 2012, she programmed and presented the Thematic Films Ribbon for the News Channel 24. She has been a critic and a columnist for the Star Daily Newspaper since 2008. Tasciyan has been an advisor and programmer for many film festivals in Turkey. She is currently an advisor for Adana Golden Boll Film Festival and the coordinator of Bazaar Adana. She has served in many national and international film festival juries. She is a member of the European Film Academy. She is currently the Vice President of FIPRESCI.
HECTOR COSSIO (Chile)
Periodista, actualmente es editor general de Cultura+Ciudad, el Magazine cultural del Diario Electrónico El Mostrador. Además de la edición general, Héctor Cossio es asesor en el mismo espacio de los temas científicos, de sociedad y de cultura regional. Como periodista se ha desempeñado en medios escritos como Diario La Nación, Las Últimas Noticias, La Cuarta y La Tercera. En televisión trabajó como investigador de Informe Especial y del noticiero central de 24 horas de TVN. En el campo de la realización audiovisual fue director de arte y realizador de micro documentales para Agencia Uno.

En sus 12 años de trayectoria se ha especializado en cultura, espectáculos e investigación política para los más destacados medios chilenos. Argentinos, mexicanos y dominicanos. En televisión ha sido editora periodística de programas documentales, estelares y franjeados.
Participó en el Festival de Cine de Cannes como productora e investigadora del documental “Operación Cóndor en Latinoamérica”, para la BBC de Londres. Premiado por la crítica como el mejor de la selección de 1998.
Ha realizado las comunicaciones de Festivales de teatro, cine y artes durante una década. Actualmente tiene un emprendimiento en comunicación y gestión cultural con el periodista y escritor Daniel Olave y prepara su primer documental como directora.
In her 12 year career, Laura has specialized in cultural, entertainment and political research for distinguished Chilean, Argentine, Mexican and Dominican news outlets. For television, she has been a press editor for several documentary programs.
She participated at Cannes Film Festival as producer and investigator for the documentary “Operación Cóndor en Latinoamérica”, a project of BBC London, and was awarded by critics for the best selection in 1998.
Laura has made connections in theater, film and art festivals throughout the decade. Currently, she runs a communications and cultural management business with journalist and writer Daniel Olave as she prepares her first documentary as director.
